- Local & remote connectivityThe standard CPU boards with Ethernet interface offer connectivity without limits, from remote programming to monitoring and data logging to FTP server, MEWTOCOL (client/server), EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP. Together with the Mini-USB and the RS232C port, it is possible to connect up to 272 devices. Supported services include FTP client/server (file exchange), HTTP Client (data exchange / services with a HTTP server / cloud), and sending e-mails with attachments.The integrated web server allows access to the variables of the system / program or diagnostic information using a predefined page or a user-defined page created with the graphical tool "Web Creator" based on HTML5 technology. HTML pages can be viewed from any Internet browser even from mobile devices (smartphones and tablets).
- Security & reliabilityBuilt-in program backup. Production can resume in the event of fault. Original program is immediately to hand.
- TraceabilityOperational and program editing events are logged. Automatic logs of program download and upload are useful, especially for program debugging.

Thermocouple & RTD units
Multiple types of thermocouples and RTD supported
- Ten types of thermocouples (K, J, T, N, R, S, B, E, PLII and WRe5-26) are supported. They can be used in combination with voltage and current inputs.
- Three types of RTDs (Pt100, JPt100 and Pt1000) are supported for each channel.
- Sensor types can be set in the programming software or by a user program.

Fieldbus Master Units (FMU)
The FP7 expansion Fieldbus Master Units (FMU) enables manufacturer-independent communication at field level. The units are available for four bus systems: PROFINET; PROFIBUS, DeviceNet and CANopen. For each network type, ready-made function libraries are available for the programming software Control FPWIN Pro. These libraries drastically shorten the time needed to develop your applications, and consequently save valuable human resource costs.

Lighting control system
Use the FP7 together with an Eco-POWER METER such as KW2G and a wireless unit to gather data from exterior lighting systems and monitor energy consumption. Data can be logged and visualized remotely on an office PC with the FP Data Analyzer software.
